Welcome to the 2023/2024 swimming season at Boondall Swimming Club! To our returning club members, we look forward to continuing to support your swimmers in and out of the water. For our swimmers and families who are new to the club, we hope that throughout the season you happily discover and learn all the things that make being a Barracuda so special!
At Boondall Barracudas Swimming Club we strive to provide a warm and friendly family environment where members pursue their love of swimming. Whether you swim for fun, fitness or aspire to be a national representative; we encourage all of our swimmers to try their best, have fun and take pride in being part of the Boondall Barracudas Swimming Club.

The development of happy, healthy and young swimmer’s who are confident, focused and self-motivated. Our aim is to create an inclusive fun, safe, family environment for swimmers at every skill phase, from junior novice to national competition level and above, and recognise their individual achievements. We endeavour to nurture and develop all swimmers, dedicated to achieving improved fitness and performance levels within a supportive team culture. We encourage members to strive for excellence, develop the ‘attitude to achieve’, focus on improvements in personal best times and the attainment of personal goals.
Being part of a swimming club is like being part of an extended family. As a grassroots club, we encourage all of our members to be involved in the operation of the club. Our club and our swimmers have always benefited from the large number of volunteers we have who are keen to lend a helping hand. Whether it is setting up, timekeeping, marshalling, baking, starting or packing up; our volunteers set the tone of our club nights, and the culture that our children train and compete in. When everyone contributes, everyone gets the opportunity to watch and encourage their children to meet their potential. Your support at both club nights and other events is crucial and very much appreciated. We are always looking for new ways to raise funds for re-investment in the club. If you have any ideas or can assist in any way we would really appreciate your involvement. That is just one of the many things that makes us Boondall!
Again this year we have many plans for all level of swimmers so check your calendars and talk to the committee about what you could be involved or participate in. During many meets last season, our swimmers showed great teamwork and swam their hearts out, to represent our wonderful club. Please enjoy this time. If there are any questions, feel free to contact me or just come and tap one of the committee members on the shoulder. We always welcome and love the opportunity to discuss your thoughts and input into the growth of our Club
