Qualifying ‘A’ Grade Meet
This meet is an ‘A’ Grade qualifying meet sanctioned by Swimming Queensland.
Times achieved will be recognised as official qualifying times for all Australian, Queensland
and Brisbane Championships.

Date: Sunday 12 February 2017

Venue: St. Joseph’s Nudgee College, 2199 Sandgate Road Boondall 4034

Entry: Competitors, coaches & children under 12 – Free
Parents & Spectators – $3.00

Programs (available at the gate) – $3.00

Sessions: Session 1 (11yrs & Under) : 12 February 2017
Session 2 (12yrs & Over) : Not before 11am, Sunday 12 February 2017
Gates open at 7:30am. Session 1 commences at 8:30am.
Exact timing of session 2 will be confirmed once all entries have been received. See
schedule of events for more information.
Age: Age as at 12 February 2017.
Minimum age is 7 years for Junior Events and 10 years for Open Events.
Eligibility: Entry is open to all Swimming Queensland ‘Competitive’ registered swimmers, who are
members of a club affiliate with Swimming Queensland.
Events: As per attached Schedule of Events. Rule tolerances will NOT apply for any event (as per
SQ’s Competition Framework for Meets). All SQ General Rules apply. All events will be
conducted as timed finals. Heats and events may be combined on the day subject to
Referee approval. Referees decision will be final.

Closing Date: Online entries close Sunday 29 January 2017 at 11:59pm

Entry Fee: $7.00 per event

General: Clubs nominate on the condition that they will assist with timekeeping during the day.
Semi-automatic timing system will be used. Details of timekeeping duties, meet entry list
and timeline will be emailed to clubs closer to competition date.
Nominating clubs are responsible for ensuring that all competitors are registered with
Swimming Queensland and that all details are current and correct.
Late entries may be accepted on the day however, this is subject to lane availability and
our absolute discretion. There will be a $20 late entry fee per event.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the three fastest times in each age group below:
50m events – 7yrs, 8yrs, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs
100m events – 8yrs, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs, 12yrs, 13yrs, 14yrs, 15yrs, 16yrs & over
200m, 400m, 800m & 1500m events – three fastest places only
